In England Saturday sees the return of the FA Cup with a few other English league games from outside the Premier League as the day’s Super Single comes from League Two. In Scotland there’s a big program of Premiership games but nothing there to take my fancy.
The FA Cup matches look good for some surprises as Oxford host Blackburn at the Kassam and Bournemouth have a South Coast derby against Portsmouth and Fratton Park. There are 3 all Premier League ties as Liverpool face West Ham, Crystal Palace host Stoke and finally Premier League strugglers Aston Villa host Manchester City at Villa Park. The matches i fancy though are the 2 London giants as Tottenham travel to Colchester and Arsenal play Burnley at the Emirates. Personally i just can’t envisage Arsenal and/or Tottenham scraping through with a 1-0 win or a tricky 1-1 draw considering their league form of late. Both sides will likely rest players but they should still both have enough firepower to net at least twice each.
I’d back both teams to score 2+ goals in a double bet at around 1.86 with BetVictor.
For the Super Single i’m visiting Leyton Orient’s match against Cambridge United. Orient have recently appointed Kevin Nolan as Player Manager and he has so far started with 2 victories against Wycombe and Newport, both without conceding a goal. His side welcome Cambridge this time and i fancy them to make it a hat-trick of wins for Nolan as they start to climb the League Two table into a play-off position, and considering Cambridge have hit a bad patch and are without a win in their last 4 matches.
Leyton Orient to win at 2.10 with Bet365
